“I want to to get back in the ring“, declared Clément Beaune in The Parisian this Thursday, determined to save his place. “There are still battles to be fought. Do I want to participate? Yes“, assumed the minister. Le Figaro recalls that he “took the lead in the protest last month”which certainly did not escape Emmanuel Macron. “The president is very resentful when we fail him”, recalled one of the Head of State’s visitors casually. The change in tone of the former Minister Delegate for Europe was also noticed among left-wing leaders, who raised their voices: “A minister shuts up or resigns. Clément Beaune will be ashamed and dishonored“, commented the socialist mayor of Alfortville, Luc Carvounas, on social networks.

Clément Beaune too ambitious?
It seems that in general, Clément Beaune’s attitude annoys the political sphere. The minister would in fact have acquired the reputation of having long teeth within the government, according to an article in Release dating from last September. Some Macronists even criticized him for taking care of what does not concern him. A daily source had criticized his side “3615 I exist by taking on divisive subjects”. The 42-year-old politician would take too much of a position on controversial subjects such as the legalization of surrogacy (GPA), while his colleagues would simply like him to be content to take care of his ministerial portfolio: “Let him first manage the trains so that they arrive on time”, a member of the macronie was annoyed.
