Emmanuel Macron wants this system for “stadiums, festivals, fairs and exhibitions”

In an interview to be published Thursday, April 29 in the evening in the regional press, Emmanuel Macron considered that he would be “Absurd not to use” a health pass system “In places where crowds mix, such as stadiums, festivals, fairs or exhibitions”, access to which would then be subject to a negative test or a certificate of immunity.

“The health pass will never be a right of access that differentiates the French. It could not be compulsory to access the places of everyday life such as restaurants, theaters and cinemas or to go to friends ”, however warned the head of state.

“Public freedoms”

Already tested on an optional basis on certain flights to and from Corsica, the health pass could thus become compulsory to attend events bringing together up to 1,000 people from June 9. Concretely, a certificate of vaccination, a negative screening test or a positive test of more than fifteen days (called “certificate of recovery”) on paper or on the TousAntiCovid application would be requested at the entrance and checked by the security agents. .

The measure does not appear in the bill on the management of exit from the health crisis, presented to the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, which only mentions such an obligation for border crossing to and from the national territory. “As it is a matter of our public freedoms, Parliament will take up the question, said the head of state. The debate must be open. ”
