Emmanuel Macron will chair a Council of Ministers this Monday at the end of the day

The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister must carry out an imminent government reshuffle.

The last of the “Borne 1” government… Or the first of the “Borne 2” government. Returning to Paris on Friday after a week abroad for several international summits – European, G7, NATO and then the UN – Emmanuel Macron will chair a Council of Ministers at the Elysée on Monday at the end of the day. The summons was received this Sunday by the outgoing team.

Devoted to the health bill, as well as to several ordinances including one on the Penitentiary Code, the meeting comes at a time when the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister must carry out an imminent reshuffle. A major casting change, imposed by the slap received two weeks ago in the legislative elections.

If they exchanged throughout the weekend, the two heads of the executive have not yet indicated when this staffing review will take place. Only Elisabeth Borne’s general policy speech is on the official agenda at this stage. Scheduled for this Wednesday, July 6, it will first take place in the National Assembly in the middle of the afternoon, then in the Senate in the middle of the evening.
