However, the people of Linz have always planned a buffer for any delays in order to maintain the ability to deliver. Does the current lockdown in Shanghai have any consequences for the company? “It has a full impact on the costs and duration of transport. The transport costs have become almost unpredictable anyway,” says Pupeter. Ship freight from Asia is now usually ten instead of six weeks on the road.
