Sometimes a visit to Aldi ends in disappointment. The food discounter is currently struggling with delivery bottlenecks, many items are not available or only available to a limited extent. If you don’t want to stand in front of an empty Aldi shelf, you can use your cell phone to check in advance whether there are any problems with the promotional goods. We explain how it works.
Ukraine war, chip crisis, lockdowns: The global supply chains have rarely been so tense. Much of what was thrown after you a year or two ago has now become a rare commodity. Industry giants like Aldi are also feeling the effects of the turning point and are increasingly struggling with delivery problems. Aldi Süd is now taking the consequences.
Aldi Süd provides information on delivery delays for promotional goods on a special page
To avoid nasty surprises in the branch, the food discounter now informs its customers about delivery delays on a special page. “We ask for your understanding that due to the current situation in international sea freight, individual promotional items are temporarily unavailable or can only be delivered later,” writes Aldi Süd. On the special page, the discounter then lists the promotional goods that have problems.
For example, women’s undershirts, BBQ stainless steel grill plates or a solar outdoor decoration are currently affected, all of which should have been available from April 28th.

Alternatively, you can also go to the Aldi branch Grab the current brochure and take a picture of the QR code stored there with your mobile phone, which immediately sends you aside (picture above). Many modern smartphones already have a QR code scanner on board, otherwise you should install a suitable app.
