Empty Vessel: former members of Naughty Dog, Activision and id Software open a new studio

Layoffs are increasing in the video game industry, but there is no question of letting many developers get discouraged, new studios are founded regularly. This week is Empty Vessel which opens its doorsa studio based in Texas, USA, with established members.

Emanuel Palalic is the CEO And game director ofEmpty Vesselhe is accompanied by the COO And general manager Garret Young, who both worked at idSoftware on DOOM And Quake Champions. Other talents are already present in the studio, having worked on very popular games like Call of Duty (Activision), Uncharted And The Last of Us (Naughty Dog), Resistance (Insomniac Games)… or Anthem (BioWare). On the studio’s official website, we even find Mick Gordon, composer of DOOMenough to intrigue fans of hard-working music.

Empty Vessel already states that it wants to focus on developers, while recalling that the video game industry is motivated by risk-taking and that “the next big video game hit could come from anywhere”. From this studio perhaps? In any case, Empty Vessel has ambition and is already developing a shooter inspired by dystopian sci-fi media.
