The health pass is no longer mandatory for certain places announced by the government on Monday, September 6, 2021. This applies depending on your department of residence.

It’s a government announcement : as of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, finished on health pass in shopping centers in certain departments. It will only concern 64 shopping centers in France, compared to 178 currently. This is possible in places where the incidence rate is less than 200 / 100,000 and continuously decreasing for at least 7 days. The drop in the incidence rate of coronavirus cases concerns the entire territory, but not all departments are concerned.
The departments for which this obligation will be lifted are:

  • Ile-de-France (with the exception of Seine – Saint-Denis);
  • four departments of Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Charente-Maritime, Gironde, Landes, Pyrénées-Atlantiques);
  • three departments of Occitanie (Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées and Pyrénées-Orientales);
  • three departments of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (Isère, Loire and Haute-Savoie);
  • and the Bas-Rhin.

The health pass, a contested tool
