Enel: sells $271 million of renewable assets in the USA to ORMAT

(CercleFinance.com) – Enel announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Enel Green Power North America (‘EGPNA’), has signed an agreement with ORMAT Technologies (‘ORMAT’) for the sale of a portfolio of renewable assets to United States with a total amount of 271 million US dollars.

The portfolio includes approximately 150 MW of operational geothermal and solar installations.

The transaction is in line with Enel’s strategic priorities, leveraging asset turnover to promote return on capital employed in support of future development plans while achieving a progressive simplification of the Group’s structure.

The overall transaction is expected to generate a positive effect on Enel Group’s consolidated net debt of approximately €255 million and a negative impact of approximately €35 million on the Group’s reported EBITDA, without having any impact on the Group’s ordinary economic results.

The transaction involves Enel’s entire geothermal portfolio in the United States as well as several small solar power plants.
