As part of the Mobile World Congress 2024 currently taking place in Barcelona, Energizer demonstrated a new battery. The latter gives no less than 94 days of battery life to your smartphone! So, yes, but….
Regardless of the price paid to buy your smartphone, it’s a safe bet that the autonomy of the latter exceeds (barely) a full day. An autonomy with which Avenir Telecom has decided to (re)face, since the company presented Hard Case P28K, a smartphone equipped with “ longest battery life in the world “.
A smartphone from… Energizer?
The P28K presented by Avenir Telecom is a real smartphone, however with entry-level features. It includes a 6.7-inch screen in Full HD quality, without forgetting a MediaTek MT6789 processor coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. No 5G here, but a smartphone limited to good old 4G.
Not enough to make your iPhone/Android smartphone shake, but a smartphone that is particularly resistant (IP69 certification), but also, and above all, very (very) durable. This, thanks to a partnership with Energizer.
Up to 94 days of battery life!
Indeed, the P28K smartphone is equipped with a (very) large shell, which allows it to be powered by a 28,000 mAh battery. The other side of the coin is obviously the size, with a smartphone 27.8 mm thick, the equivalent of… approximately three iPhones.
Added to this is a weight of 570 grams, which is again the equivalent of three smartphones.
Still, Avenir Telecom promises extraordinary endurance, including a week of autonomy as part of a “ normal use », five days, or 122 hours, of talk time and no less than 2,252 hours, or 94 days of standby time!
Note that this is not a first for Energizer, which achieved the same “feat” in 2019, with an 18,000 mAh battery case. At the time, it was an autonomy of around fifty days that was mentioned by the company.
According to The Verge, the smartphone will be available for sale next October, for €249.99. Note that on the official website, the smartphone is still “ awaiting approval from Energizer “.
