With soaring energy prices, the government has put in place a series of measures to relieve household wallets. And among them, three exceptional aids that you have to think about claiming. Watch out, it will soon be too late.
Fuel allowance: 100 euros request by the end of March
Since January 16, a fuel allowance of 100 euros has been available for 10 million individuals. It replaces the rebate on prices at the pump in effect until the end of 2022. This allowance is reserved for low-income households who drive to work. It must be claimed via a form on the tax website.
The tax authorities have also set up a simulator to check your eligibility for this aid granted subject to means testing. It is an aid reserved for the 1.6 million households that heat with fuel oil. Since the beginning of November, a dedicated application portal has been online to make an application. A procedure which makes it possible to activate exceptional aid of 100 to 200 euros according to his tax income for the year 2020.
The maximum amount of 200 euros is reserved for households already benefiting from the energy check towards each year in the spring, and whose reference tax income per consumption unit (RFR/UC) is less than 10,800 euros. This is the case, for example, of a single person earning minimum wage with at least one dependent child. An exceptional check of 100 euros is accessible to people with an RFR/UC greater than or equal to 10,800 euros, but less than 20,000 euros.

This exceptional fuel oil check can be requested until March 31. All you have to do is send an invoice in your name justifying the fuel supply and fill in your surname, first name, tax number and telephone number. A special certificate must be completed for private individuals who heat themselves by means of a collective oil-fired heating system. The aid is paid the month following the request.
This exceptional fuel oil check can be used to pay your energy bills, regardless of the type of fuel (natural gas, electricity, domestic fuel oil, wood or wood pellets), until March 31, 2024.
A wooden check to be claimed until April 30
A platform for requesting the wood check has been uploaded on December 27. It is intended for 2.6 million households who heat with wood. To connect, only the tax number used to declare your income is required. Households may apply for this aid until April 30.
At the time of the request, you must also provide an invoice for the purchase of firewood for a minimum amount of 50 euros, dating from less than 18 months in relation to the request. A specific certificate is required for households that have collective wood heating.
