ENERTIME: ENERTIME PARTICIPATES IN A NEW HORIZON EUROPE PROJECT TO SUPPLY A ONE MW ELECTRIC ORC FOR CO2-FREE HYDROGEN PRODUCTION IN A GREEK REFINERY – 05/29/2023 at 08:00

ENERTIME (FR0011915339 – ALENE), announces its participation in the EPHYRA project, which will officially start on June 1, 2023.

The project has been funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe program (grant agreement number 101112220) and will receive a grant of approximately €17.76 million over 5 years.

EPHYRA aims to demonstrate the integration of a renewable hydrogen production facility on an industrial scale using an improved electrolysis technology for a power of 30 MW. Large-scale electrolysis will be integrated into the industrial operations of the Motor Oil Hellas (MOH) refinery in Corinth (Greece), one of the first refineries in Europe and the largest private industrial complex in Greece. The integrated industrial production of renewable hydrogen will be developed around a principle of circular economy and industrial symbiosis. The project is coordinated by MOH.

As part of the project, ENERTIME will provide an innovative ORC system recovering waste heat at low temperature to supply 1 MW of carbon-free electricity to an electrolysis system and will receive a grant of 2 million euros for this system.

Gilles David, Chairman and CEO of ENERTIME, declares: ”

The selection of our consortium by the European Union and the aid granted to the Consortium will allow us to develop an innovative solution for energy efficiency and the production of electricity without CO2 for the production of hydrogen in refineries. Energy efficiency and the associated reduction of CO2 emissions in the oil and gas industry constitute an important and high-potential market which is a strategic development axis for Enertime. Our collaboration with Motor Oil Hellas, which started in 2019, is now entering an acceleration phase

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under GA n. 101112220.

ABOUT ENERTIME

Founded in 2008, ENERTIME designs, develops and implements thermodynamic machines and turbomachines for industrial energy efficiency and decentralized production of renewable energy.

ENERTIME’s ORC machines transform heat into electricity, Heat Pumps produce high temperature heat with lower temperature heat and electricity. Gas expansion turbines recover the energy lost in the gas distribution networks to produce electricity and cold. On the high power industrial Heat Pumps market (up to 150°C, for 3 MW thermal and more), ENERTIME is one of the few global players in an embryonic market. On the ORC market, ENERTIME is one of the four main world players and the only French company fully mastering this technology of high-power machines (1 MW and more).

Based in Ile de France, ENERTIME has 60 employees, including 30 engineers.

ENERTIME is listed on the Euronext Growth market. ISIN: FR0011915339 – Mnemo: ALENE. More information at https://www.enertime.com.
