Enertime obtains financing of 13.8 million euros for its geothermal project in Mexico


(AOF) – Enertime, a French “CleanTech” company serving industrial energy efficiency and the production of renewable energy in geothermal energy, has secured a buyer’s loan from BPI France for the benefit of the CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad) Mexican company and covering 90% of the cost of the first phase of its geothermal project in Mexico. The group thus obtained financing of 13.8 million euros for its geothermal project in Mexico.

Gilles David, CEO of Enertime, said: “Our collaboration with CFE which began in 2020 with a donation from the French government FASEP for a feasibility study on the implementation of ORC technology on geothermal sites in Mexico between in a new era with the establishment of this financing which is an important step towards the finalization of a first contract. The support of BPI France should allow us to gain momentum in the very promising field of geothermal electricity production “.
