The dynamic is strong for Enertime at the start of the year! The company, which develops turbomachinery for industrial energy efficiency, has signed a contract for a new 1.2 MW ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) turbine in China. This technology generates electrical and thermogenic energy from several types of thermal sources, such as heat from industry, geothermal energy or marine energy from the seas. For the group’s Chairman and CEO, Gilles David, ” the resumption of orders from China is a sign of the recovery of our activity in this country, post Covid-19 pandemic”.

The stock up 10%

The reception is very favorable on the stock market, the action climbing by more than 10% on Monday, to nearly 2 euros. Enertime announces, in parallel, having produced its first kWh of electricity in Thailand, with its ORC in the flat glass factory of Bangkok Glass. Gilles David thus indicates that ” the commissioning of the ORC system installed in the glass factory (…) is an essential step in the development of our offer of high-performance machines for the global glass, steel and cement industry “.

While the group was struggling to take off commercially due to the health crisis, these announcements should play a driving role in the growth expected this year. Especially since, according to the Portzamparc firm, the energy efficiency market is supported by the public authorities but also by high electricity prices and a high carbon tax. For the research office, the 2022 financial year should mark a take-off in growth. This will be driven in particular by the projects selected by ADEME representing 25 million euros by 2023 and by the acceleration of international orders.
