(CercleFinance.com) – Engie announced yesterday that it has acquired 6GW of solar and battery storage projects in the United States from Belltown Power.
The transaction involves 33 projects comprising 2.7 GW of solar power, 0.7 GW of coupled storage and 2.6 GW of stand-alone battery storage.
‘This is an important step towards reaching our target of 80 GW of installed renewable capacity by 2030. By combining green electricity production and coupled and autonomous solar storage, ENGIE will contribute to the flexibility of the network in order to improve its reliability and resilience,” said Paulo Almirante, Deputy CEO, in charge of Renewable Activities, Energy Management and Nuclear at ENGIE.
