Engie and Crédit Agricole join forces for the energy performance of community buildings

(AOF) – On the occasion of the Show of Mayors and Local Authorities, Damien Térouanne (Deputy Managing Director of Engie Solutions) and Eric Campos, (General Manager of Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies) signed a memorandum of understanding with a view to propose a deferred payment offer to communities wishing to launch a Global Energy Performance Market. This deferred financing should allow communities to facilitate the decision and then the implementation of these markets on their real estate assets.

In order to accelerate the energy renovation of community buildings, whatever their size, Law No. 2023-222 of March 30, 2023 created a new type of global public contract with private financing.

Thus, communities will be able to conclude Energy Performance Contracts in the form of a Global Energy Performance Market.

This law is a real opportunity to strengthen the attractiveness of this type of market, by allowing any community to benefit from deferred financing. A real accelerator for the energy and environmental transition, this law should make it possible to increase the volume of work, shorten completion times and finance them.
