PARIS, May 13 (Reuters) – Engie ENGIE.PA and TotalEnergies
TTEF.PA are interested in Casino CASP.PA’s GreenYellow renewable energy subsidiary, the daily Les Echos reported on Friday.
According to Les Echos, Casino has mandated Rothschild and four other banks to lead the sale of GreenYellow and expects 1.5 billion euros from the sale of this subsidiary whose distribution group holds 76% of the capital alongside Tikehau TKOO.PA and Bpifrance.
Neither Casino nor TotalEnergies commented immediately, while no one could be reached immediately at Engie.
On the Paris Stock Exchange, Casino shares rose 8% following this information.
