(CercleFinance.com) – Eni announces that it has signed an agreement with Leonardo, the second Italian industrial group, on the development of joint sustainability and innovation initiatives, with the aim of stimulating the energy transition and decarbonizing their operations.
The collaboration between Eni and Leonardo, a world leader in the aerospace, defense and security sectors, will focus on the testing and use of sustainable biofuels for aviation and joint research programs with an emphasis particular on electronic fuels and hydrogen. The collaboration will consist of sharing technological best practices in HSE (health, safety and environment) and cybersecurity.
‘By working together, we can identify forward-looking projects that we hope will lead to new business opportunities that can be jointly developed according to the principles of environmental sustainability and circular economy,’ commented Giuseppe Ricci , General Manager of Energy Evolution at Eni.
