Eni: inaugurates a 50 MW solar power plant in Spain


(CercleFinance.com) – Eni announces that its company Plenitude inaugurated today in Torrejoncillo del Rey (Cuenca, Spain) the Villanueva II solar power plant with an installed capacity of 50 MW.

Stretching over some 100 ha, the solar park is connected to the national transport network at the Villanueva de los Escuderos crossroads via the Torrejoncillo del Rey electricity substation as well as via a 28 km high voltage overhead line.

The installation has more than 76,000 photovoltaic modules and will produce 100 GWh/year of electricity, equivalent to the energy needs of more than 30,000 homes, assures Eni.
