(CercleFinance.com) – Eni announces that the President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, today visited and inaugurated the Coral-Sul FLNG facility, located in the ultra-deep waters of the Rovuma Basin.
The event takes place after the first cargo of LNG was shipped on November 13 from Coral Sul FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), the world’s first ultra-deepwater FLNG and the first LNG producer in Mozambique.
This flagship project for the gas industry puts Mozambique on the global LNG stage.
Incidentally, on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, President Nyusi and Eni representatives discussed the possibility of replicating the success of the Coral Sul project with further development of the FLNG, as well as other onshore projects. .
