This is despite the fact that the Sharks, founded in 1990, had legendary players such as Patrick Marleau, Evander Kane and Owen Nolan in their ranks.
They all “only” achieved a best of four goals in one game. The NHL-wide record for most goals in a game is seven, set by one Joe Malone in 1920 for the long-defunct Quebec Bulldogs.
