Entry requirements: German vacationers will soon be able to return to Finland

The Finland vacation can come. The government in Helsinki has relaxed entry requirements for German travelers.

Finland is now also relaxing its entry requirements. As the government announced in Helsinki, from September 19, people will be allowed to cross the borders again if they come from a country whose 7-day incidence in the last two weeks has not exceeded 25. This means that German holidaymakers can also enter the country again, as the local value is currently stable at around 10 infected people per 100,000 inhabitants. Previously, Finland had a value of 8, which Germany has not achieved for weeks.

There is also no quarantine requirement. Those in charge are also reacting to great pressure from the tourism industry, as the number of visitors in Lapland in particular plummeted. For tourists from countries with higher numbers of infections such as Great Britain or France, Finland only allows organized group tours and no individual tourism. Otherwise, all that remains for these countries is going into quarantine or showing negative corona tests.

The Federal Foreign Office has not yet adjusted the new regulations for Finland. A travel warning is currently still in force. Literally it says on the page: "Not necessary, tourist trips to Finland are currently advised against the background of applicable travel restrictions and quarantine regulations." The epidemiological situation there is nothing to worry about. The country is less affected by Covid-19. The only regional focus is the greater Helsinki area.
