A picturesque place, the Vienna Woods Biosphere Park, which is usually appreciated by nature lovers and hikers, has become a dumping ground for environmental offenders: hundreds of tires lie in the middle of the forest.
Between the towns of Gaaden and Heiligenkreuz, not far from the Heiligenkreuz motorway exit on the A21, unknown perpetrators apparently showed no respect for the environment. Instead of admiring the beauty of nature, they chose to dump their garbage in the middle of the forest. “It is outrageous how some people destroy nature without any scruples. Of course, the taxpayer will pay the costs for further disposal,” said an angry “Krone” reader reporter. The local police have already started the investigation, as can be seen from the barrier tape.
