Friday, September 9, the Paris investigation chamber ruled in favor of the release of a 42-year-old man, indicted last year for having kidnapped a 9-year-old girl, then attempted to rape her.
Thursday August 19, 2021, a little girl was playing with her brother in front of their home located in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis), when a stranger approached her to introduce an exchange. The tall 42-year-old blond man handed a ten euro note to the girl, before forcing her into his vehicle grabbing her violently by the arm.
During this time, a VTC driver who witnessed the whole scene began to follow the vehicle discreetly, in order to note all the information necessary for the arrest of the kidnapper.
In this same vehicle, hell unfolds before the eyes of the 9-year-old girl, who found herself stuck with her attacker. The latter asserts that the man showed him a pornographic video on his cell phone, before pulling down his pants.
The pedophile filmed his victim for at least six months before taking action
By reflex, the little girl hid her eyes with her hands before being attacked again by the pedophile, who tried to undress her : “I’ll f…..”, he threatened. The action of the VTC driver allowed the officers to intervene and find the attacker’s vehicle, as well as the little girl, who was on the passenger side. The medical examinations made it possible to find that she had not undergone any penetration.
During his hearing, the pedophile living in the Hauts-de-Seine said that he had initially gone to Epinay-sur-Seine to use the services of prostitutes, but that he had ended up setting his sights on a 9 year old child. The investigation made it possible to contradict the version of the forties, thus revealing the presence of numerous child pornography images in his telephone.
The prosecution disapproves of the release: “His explanations are contemptuous and nothing tells us that this is the last time”
To these images are added photos of the little girl, prior to the assault which occurred on August 19, 2021: the forties had been following and filming his victim since March.
The 42-year-old cook was indicted, then released until the end of the investigation. His lawyer, Me Sophie Rey Gascon, affirms that the prison term is not necessary for his client at this stage of the investigation, and that this one would now wear “a realistic look at his sexual attractions”.
During his investigation, the pedophile claimed to be on the path of repentance and evolution: “I am aware of the gravity of what I have done. I worked a lot on myself in prison (…) The discussion groups and the help of psychologists in prison enabled me to recognize the wrongs. I was that man but I am no longer. I made a gap in my life but I won’t do it again. I do not want anymore”he testified.
As for the prosecution, it positioned itself against this release, declaring that nothing allowed them to affirm that there would be no recidivism: “This man is prey to primary mechanisms that govern the psychology of a predator attacking a little girl. When he is interrogated, his explanations are contemptuous and nothing tells us that this is the last time”she said.
