A Romantic Moment Between Anaïs and Milan
At the Atelier, Anaïs pays a visit to Jude, who is engrossed in crafting a new dish for the laboratory restaurant. She can’t help but feel envious of his creative flow. In contrast, her mind has been racing all night, but she has only managed to conjure a single idea for an appetizer. Jude encourages her to collaborate with her team to spark her creativity, but Anaïs worries that her ongoing conflict with Milan complicates matters.
Upon entering the kitchen, Anaïs leads a review of the service from the previous day with her team. Acknowledging the need for better communication, she announces a new addition to the menu: a rose of truffles. Vic and Léonard express their concerns about learning a new recipe on short notice, but Anaïs is confident in their abilities and provides a demonstration.
However, during the service, Léonard returns empty-handed from the storeroom, revealing that they have run out of truffles. At that moment, Billie informs them that Teyssier has taken his seat in the dining room and is already aware of the new appetizer. While Vic suggests they might need to backtrack, Anaïs insists on sticking to her original plan. As she contemplates a way to adapt, she hesitates to take the drug Sam offered her. Unaware of her internal struggle, Milan steps in to assist, proposing a new vegetable-based recipe with a hint of grated truffle. Anaïs eagerly embraces his idea and begins preparations.
After the service, Anaïs seeks Teyssier’s feedback on her appetizer in the park. He remarks that her recipe was daring compared to the rest of the menu. Feeling invigorated, Anaïs assures him that she has plenty more ideas in store.
Meanwhile, Enzo and Vic share insights about the service at Double A with Jude. Although Anaïs and her second seem to be working well together now, Vic worries that their partnership could falter at any moment.
That evening, Anaïs finds Milan in the kitchen to relay Teyssier’s praise for their appetizer. She decides to officially add it to the menu and suggests they brainstorm a new name together. She expresses a desire to collaborate further on the menu surrounding this dish. Milan humorously acknowledges her change of heart and agrees to work with her, but only if she admits her previous mistake of sidelining him.
Anaïs confesses that she was hesitant to partner with him because she feared losing her confidence. In a surprising turn, Milan moves closer and kisses her, leading to a passionate moment between them.
Alice Stands Firm Against Labels
In the management office, Hortense and Stanislas come to Alice’s aid as she expresses her desire to stop printing her technical sheets due to a mistake she made with an accent on the “e” in black forest.
While Stanislas thinks Alice’s error is minor, she admits it bothers her, especially since she’s been struggling to focus lately due to Gaspard’s insinuations about her possibly being autistic. Alice shares that she’s faced such comments before but often in a mocking tone. Gaspard’s concern, however, feels genuine to her. Hortense reassures Alice that she is not autistic.
Later, Hortense confronts Gaspard in the park with Stanislas, seeking clarity on his remarks to Alice. Gaspard explains that he thought he was helping, drawing from his experience with his younger brother’s diagnosis, feeling relieved to name what he had long sensed.
Afterward, Hortense and Stanislas investigate online to see if Alice displays any signs of autism, realizing she checks off a few boxes. When Alice joins them, they suggest she consult a professional for guidance. Touched by their concern, she expresses gratitude but insists that nothing should change between them, as she values their friendship immensely.
Later on, Gaspard approaches Alice in a hallway to apologize for unsettling her with his comments. He believes it could benefit her to articulate her feelings. However, Alice firmly states that she is doing well and does not want to be labeled or treated differently. Gaspard apologizes for pressing the issue.
Coline’s Web of Deceit Continues
In the park, Coline chats with Carla and Bérénice, both aware of her ongoing deception regarding her studies at the Institute. They maintain that she should come clean to her mother.
Shortly after, Coline visits her mother’s farm, where she sells vegetables and asks for her daughter’s help with lettuce harvesting the next day. She urges Coline to take time off from work. Coline promises to find a way to manage both.
During Chef Armand’s class for the First Years, Teyssier makes an unexpected entrance to announce that their pastry inauguration class will commence the following morning. He warns that tardiness or absence will not be tolerated.
Feeling anxious, Coline confides in Carla and Bérénice. They suggest she skip Teyssier’s class to assist her mother, assuring her that the director won’t notice her absence since he’s unfamiliar with the First Years. With Bérénice willing to cover for her, Coline can easily catch up on the class.
