Epstein case: Jean-Luc Brunel, ex-French model agent, found dead hanged in prison

Epstein case, an American scandalcase

Close to the billionaire and American sex criminal, Jean-Luc Brunel had been imprisoned in the prison of Health in Paris since December 2020, accused of “rape of a minor over 15 years old” and “sexual harassment”. He was found dead overnight from Friday to Saturday.

He was the central link in the French side of the Epstein affair. The former French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, close to the deceased American billionaire, was found dead hanged on the night of Friday to Saturday in his cell in the prison of Health in Paris.

The Paris public prosecutor’s office confirms that he had been found dead and indicates that an investigation into the causes of death had been opened, entrusted to the 3rd judicial police district.

Suspected of having participated in the sex trafficking network set up by Jeffrey Epstein, himself found dead in 2019 in prison, Brunel had been indicted in December 2020 for “rape of a minor over 15 years old” and “harassment sex”, and remanded in custody.

The “distress” of a “crushed man”, according to his lawyers

In a press release, his lawyers Mathias Chichportich, Marianne Abgrall and Christophe Ingrain ensure that “His distress was that of a 75-year-old man crushed by a media-judicial system on which it would be time to wonder”.

They support their point by emphasizing that “Jean-Luc Brunel has continued to proclaim his innocence. He multiplied his efforts to prove it. A judge released him a few months ago and then he was reincarcerated in appalling conditions. His decision was not guided by guilt but by a deep sense of injustice.”
