Equinor: contract with Nexans for emergency situations


(CercleFinance.com) – Nexans indicates that it has signed an emergency preparedness and response contract with Equinor, a four-year agreement covering turnkey repair interventions for various cable systems with a total length of nearly of 3000 km.

The French cable manufacturer will ensure the normal operation of the Norwegian oil and gas giant’s assets. The geographical scope of the agreement extends to Northern Europe, but may evolve in the future depending on the customer’s needs.

In the event of a breakdown on a section of cable, it will mobilize all its expertise in the installation and maintenance of submarine cable systems, and will coordinate its specialized teams to assess the incident and carry out any possible repairs.
