Die-hard campers know Eriba inside out. The brand, which belongs to the Hymer Group, even sees itself as a “pioneer of caravanning”. Now is the time to “stand on your own wheels,” it says on the company website.
The timing for the bang couldn’t be better. After all, the big German holiday trade fair, CMT, is currently taking place in Stuttgart. Campervans like the charming Citroën E-Berlingo, luxury motorhomes from Morelo or Mercedes Sprinters with pull-out bedrooms attract visitors. And in all the hustle and bustle, Eriba pulls the cloth from the campervan called Car 600.

As the name suggests, the motorhome is six meters long, so it could just about pass as an everyday vehicle. With a width of at least 2.07 meters, it could be tight in some parking spaces. The height of 2.67 meters excludes entry into the parking garage in the vast majority of cases.
But this fact should quickly be forgotten when you see the inside of the camper. Bright, two-tone decor in fresh colors – you haven’t seen this in a long time. Everything is nicely lined with felt, even the framed windows. Exterior and interior design can be customized to a certain extent, although Eriba is not a manufacturer that can respond to every customer request.
The 90 liter refrigerator, which is easily accessible from the outside and inside, is the first thing that catches your eye when you open the sliding door on the side. The floor plan is calmly classic. This doesn’t have to be a disadvantage, even if horizontal kitchens and round seating areas have recently been increasingly in demand.
In the Car 600, Eriba relies on a semi-dinette with swiveling front seats, which is followed by a wet room with a shower, folding sink and toilet. You sleep in the rear of the 3.5-ton truck, across an area measuring 2.0 x 1.36 meters. The rear body extensions ensure this.
