Eric Stehfest (31, "9 days awake") and his wife Edith (25) are full of anticipation: The wife of the former "GZSZ" star is seven months pregnant. Whether they are looking forward to a girl or a boy, they both want to keep to themselves. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, the couple, who have just published the book "Rebellen liebe Laut" (Goldmann), tell how they experienced their second pregnancy and why it was so different from the first.
The second pregnancy is "much healthier"
Not only actor and author Eric Stehfest made his former drug addiction public, also his wife Edith Stehfest. During her first pregnancy with her now five-year-old son Aaron Amadeus, she had only recently gone through withdrawal, she says. Therefore, her second pregnancy is "different and much healthier than the first". The relationship between her and her husband has also changed: "This time we are exchanging ideas much more consciously." She enjoys being pregnant, it is "a miracle". "After the first pregnancy I did a lot of sport, had a breast operation and moved towards the ideal that I had in my head. Pregnancy changes all that. Suddenly I weigh almost as much as my husband. It's pure femininity ", she reports.
Their son is very much looking forward to becoming a big brother soon. The family is enjoying the second pregnancy together. And that's something special for the standing party …
Eric Stehfest had an "escape reflex"
"I failed my first pregnancy," admits Eric Stehfest. "I was overwhelmed and had a reflex to flee from responsibility. I had considered running away." In addition, he "couldn't cope" with the physical change in his wife. "Of course I knew the magic of it, but it was just too much of a challenge."
Now everything is different: "Since day one of the second pregnancy I am very proud because I can do and experience so much differently." He loves his wife's pregnant body. "We also have sex more often, which was not really possible for me in her first pregnancy. Edith radiates a certain size, she likes to be pregnant and does it great."
With every appointment
Edith Stehfest also enthuses: "Because we couldn't get involved the first time, we do everything together now. Eric is there at every appointment, for example during the ultrasound. This is completely new for us."
The couple has been married since 2015. Eric Stehfest became known for his role in the RTL series "Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten". He also appeared on "Let's Dance" and won the show "Dancing on Ice". In his biographical book "9 days awake" he tells of his drug addiction, which he was able to overcome. The book was filmed.
