Eric Zemmour, “a failed writer”: François Cluzet’s tackle against the far-right candidate

Invited from Seven to Eight this Sunday, March 13, François Cluzet violently attacked Eric Zemmour. The actor returned to the remarks for which the candidate for the Elysée was condemned.

It’s no secret, François Cluzet does not have his tongue in his pocket. Committed actor, especially politically, the actor crushed Eric Zemmour less than a month before the first round of the presidential election. Interviewed by Audrey Crespo-Mara in seven to eight this Sunday, March 13, he reacted to the conviction for provocation to racial hatred of the Reconquest candidate. “It’s pitifulestimated François Cluzet. I understand that this journalist, failed writer, wants his moment of glory. So, the election, that’s it, it’s: ‘Well, there are a lot of unhappy people, we’re going to tell them they’re right… Nothing’s going right, nothing’s going right anymore… ‘.” Visibly up against Eric Zemmour, the actor wanted to speak directly to the former journalist.

“No, but wait cushy, we’re not going to take the risk of voting for you so that you tell us after what you’re going to do. Because, when we hear your words, we worry a lothe launched. Especially on the Jews. This is unacceptable ! On Pétain, this is unacceptable! (…) So why say unacceptable things? This guy, he’s not stupid… But it’s because it pays, it pays. And the more he does, the more it pays.” While explaining to understand that some are worried about immigration, he concluded very annoyed: “But to say that they only come for the lure of crime, to try to steal, to try to rape, to try to eat the bread, as we used to say there was a time, but it’s still disgusting “.

Eric Zemmour condemned for his comments on unaccompanied minors

The comments to which François Cluzet returned are therefore those that Eric Zemmour had made about unaccompanied minors on the plateau of CNews in November 2020. “They [les mineurs isolés, ndlr] have nothing to do here, they are thieves, they are murderers, they are rapists, that’s all they are, they must be sent back and they must not even come”, he said. On January 17, the candidate for the Elysee Palace was sentenced by the Paris Criminal Court to a fine of 10,000 euros, in accordance with the requisitions. In a press release published with the verdict, Éric Zemmour denounces for his part “an ideological and stupid condemnation” and announced to appeal this decision.
