Eric Zemmour future Minister of Marine Le Pen? Louis Aliot casts doubt

Invited on the set of C à Vous this Tuesday, April 12, the mayor of Perpignan and vice-president of the National Rally, Louis Aliot, cast doubt on a possible post of minister of Eric Zemmour in the event that Marine Le Pen would come to power.

In the event that Marine Le Pen is elected as the next President of the Republic, what will happen to Eric Zemmour? The other far-right candidate and creator of the Reconquest party finished in fourth place in the first round of the presidential election this Sunday, April 10, with 7.1% of the vote. A score that was not enough to reach the second round, far behind Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI, 22%) and the two finalists, Marine Le Pen (RN, 23.1%) and Emmanuel Macron (27.8%).

While he must swallow this defeat which must taste bitter, Eric Zemmour will inevitably ask himself a complicated question to answer: what follow-up to his political career. It is not a surprise : the vast majority of its voters will turn to the National Rally this Sunday, April 24, in the second round. But what will happen to the former far-right polemicist? Will he have a place of choice in the government of Marine Le Pen, if she were to be elected? This is the question that was asked of Louis Aliot, the vice-president of the RN, this Tuesday, April 12 on the set of C à Vous.

Louis Aliot: “Let’s win this election and behind it there will surely be a discussion”

Here is his answer, at first very clear: “Eric Zemmour is not asking for anything. We are not going to impose something on him that he does not ask for. He wants no place, nothing. We are therefore not going to tell him that he will be one of our ministers. These are things that do not interest him Eric Zemmour, he did not make this election to be Minister of Marine Le Pen. It has to stop. He said so himself, by the way.”.

Before Louis Aliot is no longer so certain: “Eric Zemmour’s party executives did not ask for anything. We will see later if they ask for anything. We are in a presidential campaign, not in a union of parties. Let’s win this election and behind it there will surely be a discussion with personalities that you will discover at that time. The door is therefore not quite closed.
