Erick Morillo: Star DJ died at the age of 49

Erick Morillo is dead. The "I Like To Move It" DJ, who most recently faced rape allegations, was only 49 years old.

Star DJ Erick Morillo (1971-2020) is said to have died from circumstances that have not yet been clarified. The ABC-affiliated TV station WPLG reports and cites information from the local police. Accordingly, an emergency call was received on Tuesday morning (local time), whereupon officials found the star DJ lifeless in his home in Miami Beach, Florida. He was 49 years old.

Morillo achieved worldwide fame as a member of the duo Reel 2 Real and the hit "I Like To Move It" in the mid-1990s. Most recently, he faced allegations that he had molested a woman in his Miami property in December 2019. The DJ initially denied the allegations, but turned himself in to the police after it was discovered that his DNA could be detected during the forensic investigation that was carried out after the alleged assault. According to the WPLG report, a court hearing should have taken place on Friday (September 4th).
