(CercleFinance.com) – Rogers Communications, one of Canada’s largest telecommunications groups, today announced the launch of Canada’s first commercial 5G standalone network, alongside Ericsson, marking the first deployment in the countries with an autonomous 5G core network, i.e. having its own installations.

Ericsson provides Rogers with advanced 5G services and innovative network solutions to meet growing demand from Canadian businesses and consumers, including through 5G Core and 5G RAN slicing.
