(CercleFinance.com) – Ericsson announces that through its partnership with Telia, the leading Nordic and Baltic digital communications company, the latter has reached an important milestone in achieving 99% 5G geographic coverage in Lithuania.
Lithuania thus becomes a leading player in the global 5G landscape which also opens up “unlimited possibilities in various sectors, fueling economic growth”, says Ericsson.
Over the period from 2021 to 2023, Telia Lithuania successfully completed its network modernization with state-of-the-art Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment from Ericsson. This collaboration enabled Telia to establish an advanced nationwide 5G network on 3.5 GHz and 700 MHz frequencies, ensuring the availability of high-speed data throughout Lithuania.
