Ericsson: deploys radio 6626 in Antananarivo (Madagascar)

(CercleFinance.com) – Ericsson announces that it has deployed its 6626 dual-band radio at five major sites in the Malagasy capital, Antananarivo, with Telma Madagascar.

Ericsson’s Radio 6626 will provide Telma Madagascar with multi-standard, multi-band coverage while reducing operating expenses (OPEX) and footprint, with up to 18% lower power consumption on each site configuration.

It will also allow for a 67% reduction in radios in the Telma Madagascar tower and a 20% reduction in weight and greater capacity compared to current installations.

“With the benefits of this dual-band, tri-sector Ericsson radio, we look forward to delivering increased capacity on our network, reduced power consumption and a superior user experience in Madagascar,” says Patrick Pisal Hamida, Director General of Telma Madagascar.
