Ericsson: promoting digital development in Africa


(CercleFinance.com) – Ericsson announces a collaboration with Smart Africa, an alliance of 32 African countries, international organizations and global private sector players responsible for Africa’s digital agenda.

The idea is to support and promote the digital transformation of the African continent through education and capacity development.

Thanks to the Ericsson Educate program, senior civil servants, ministries and regulatory authorities in charge of information and communication technologies (ICT) will be able to strengthen their digital skills.

The program should later extend to young people, students and professionals, especially educators.

The objective of the Ericsson Educate program is to empower policy makers on the continent to develop harmonized digital transformation frameworks that will ensure a prosperous future for Africa in the digital age.
