Ericsson: touts IoT connectivity in report


(CercleFinance.com) – Ericsson today released a report on connected electric vehicle (EV) charging in collaboration with charging provider Blue Corner and Arthur D. Little.

The report highlights the value of cellular IoT connectivity in connecting and orchestrating electric vehicle charging stations.

The report reveals how cellular IoT streamlines the orchestration, administration and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations, reducing annual monitoring costs by 15%.

Mid-size EV charging providers can increase revenue by 40%, thanks to interoperability revenue sharing, according to the report.

“This report demonstrates the value of cellular IoT connectivity in keeping up with the rapid growth of EV charging networks,” said Jess Thompson-Hughes, IoT Enterprise Sales Director, Energy and Utilities, Ericsson.

And to highlight the ‘essential’ features, of the Ericsson IoT Accelarator, ‘enabling EV charging providers to deploy, manage and scale their business from a single platform’.
