(CercleFinance.com) – Ericsson announces that Turkcell, a Turkish telecommunications company, has completed one of the first node implementations of Ericsson’s 4466 Tri-Band Radio.
According to Ericsson, the 4466 radio will enable Turkcell to simultaneously enable 5G and 4G services on the 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz spectrum layers with a single unit, minimizing the amount of equipment normally required.
This optimized solution will help reduce overall network power consumption by up to 30% and reduce site footprint and deployment time, Ericsson said.
