Ernst-August de Hanover, Caroline of Monaco's ex-companion, threatening the police: the scene was filmed: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

On the evening of Monday, July 15, Ernst-August de Hanover (Caroline of Monaco's ex-companion) turned to help, worried about his state of health following what he described as a crisis of hypoglycemia. "I was not well", he explained in the columns of the Austrian daily Kronen Zeitung. But things quickly got out of hand when the police arrived at his home. He didn’t expect to deal with the law enforcement agencies he claimed attacked him. "A policeman hit me. I think they were drunk, at least they gave that impression.", he begins, before continuing: "I probably backed up. I was hallucinated. Such a cheeky thug. They handcuffed me and then pulled my pants down, and dragged me across the room."

Following this altercation, the Prince of Hanover was transferred from his home to a mental hospital. Also according to the words of the father of Princess Alexandra of Hanover, he was detained for five long hours. The people there wanted "take him to a room" and, he said, "put him to sleep". The latter says he has not slept all night. "I told them not to do this to me, I'm a normal person. I screamed until I was allowed out."

The police reveal a different version

According to the security forces present, Ernst-August of Hanover quickly became violent and allegedly attacked them. As reported Royal stories, he also grabbed a 12-inch knife to face them. Following this violent episode, the authorities reportedly made the choice to take Caroline of Monaco's third husband to give him a medical exam.

Since then, he would like revenge and would have gone to the police station, where he would have threatened police officers with a baseball bat. Michael Babl, spokesman for the Upper Austria regional police, confirmed what he describes as "an incident". He also made it known that the scene in question was filmed. The 66-year-old prince claims his innocence.
