Escape from Tarkov announces Arena, a standalone – Escape from Tarkov

Available in early access for a long time already, Escape from Tarkov continues its merry way, with more or less regular updates, allowing to bring additional content. Recently, Battlestate Games has announced the franchise’s first standalone, which will arrive as paid DLC for those who already have the game. Named arenaseveral modes, both PvP and PvE, will be offered to players.

For the moment the information is rather thin, but we find the gunplay and the intensity of Tarkov, with the loot phases less. The community will be able to compete in particular in a mode resembling team deathmatch, in closed maps. We can read that players ” will take part in gladiator fights in arenas of the city of Tarkov, organized by a mysterious group of arena masters led by the host “.

Battlestate Games provides some details, including the fact that it is indeed a standalone. Everyone will be able to play Arena, even those who have not purchased Escape from Tarkov. Moreover, this mode will be paying for all, except for people who have purchased the Edge of Darkness edition, which is still sold for the sum of €109.99.

New information will be shared in a few months, while a test phase will take place in small groups this fall. Its release is therefore not expected before the end of 2022, or even the beginning of 2023.
