The electric scooter is also entitled to its heyday. It will soon be honored in frantic 100 km / h races organized in the first world competition of its kind called “eSC”, short for Electric Scooter Championship.

We have followed the news of this sporting event closely, since its launch in mid-2020 until today, in order to tell you a little more about its unfolding.

A new skill that highlights more sustainable means of mobility

The recruitment of runners for this sporting event should be done this month. The organizers preferred to call on professionals for the first two seasons in order to better assess the risks associated with these races. Six riders will compete in each race, then the ten finalists will qualify for the championship. A junior race would also be on the program.

All riders will have to use the eSkootr S1X electric scooter model, which has a 6000W motor with a top speed of 100 km / h. In order to avoid any accident, all racing cars are equipped with circuit breakers, in case the riders are separated from their vehicles.

Although no final date has been specified for this crazy electric scooter race, it is very likely that it will take place this year.

Taboo subjects at the heart of the race

During the launch of this professional competition, the organizers had to overcome many obstacles in the world of racing, particularly related to the economy and gender inequalities.

Wanting to break away from the stereotypes of the racing industry, the eSC hopes to reduce its costs in order to allow the greatest number of participants to join this automotive event, and not only to give access to a rich elite category. . Non-sexist, this championship will consist of male and female runners to make this sport more accessible to all.
