Esso: gradual restart in Fos-sur-Mer – 03/11/2024 at 1:35 p.m.

(CercleFinance.com) – The oil company Esso announces that the units of its Fos-sur-Mer refinery, shut down since January 20 as part of a major planned shutdown, must restart successively since last Friday.

These operations have been prepared in such a way as to limit nuisances of all kinds. However, from the restart date, and for around ten days, episodes of flare and noise may be observed intermittently.

This scheduled technical shutdown made it possible to carry out maintenance work on equipment normally in service. Some equipment has also been replaced by the latest generation equipment, in particular to reduce CO2 emissions.
