A man was arrested Wednesday morning in Viry-Châtillon, suspected of having killed his partner during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in Evry. On the body of the victim, aged 43, the police found traces of wounds that may have been caused by a sharp object, on the right and left sides, as well as in the throat, specifies the police source.

Spotted shirtless by firefighters

The father was then arrested in Viry-Châtillon, Wednesday morning, and placed in hospital custody, said the Evry prosecution. It was firefighters who first found him, notifying the police of the presence of a shirtless man in Viry-Châtillon, said another police source. The man had wounds and allegedly injured his chest with a knife, two police sources said.

According to the first searches carried out in police files, this man was not known to the services for domestic violence.
