The police had been on their trail since the beginning of the year. Several violent robberies had indeed taken place near Brunoy station and the Perronet bridge, not far from a park. On the weekend of February 5, six complaints had even been filed. The modus operandi was always the same: a group of three or four young people spotted their victims on pedestrian paths and then stole their telephones under the threat of a knife.
Robbery at knifepoint
Rebelote Wednesday, February 9: At 12 p.m. and then at 3:30 p.m., two teenagers reported being extorted at gunpoint. They gave a precise description, including clothing, of their attackers. At the end of the afternoon, a 15-year-old reported in turn having had his iPhone stolen, still in the same area. The description given by the teenager made it possible to make the connection with the flights of the beginning of the afternoon.
Four suspects were finally arrested an hour later by the crime squad. The victim’s mobile phone was not found on them but the latter formally recognized them. Two of the defendants carried a knife. They could have claimed many more victims. The investigation is continuing.
