Gavin Wood justified his departure by declaring to Bloomberg, that “the role of CEO was never a role” that he coveted. The co-founder of Polkadot, who is also the co-founder of Ethereum, believes he won’t find ” eternal happiness by serving as CEO.

Going forward, he will fill the role of chief architect within the company, and the other co-founder of Polkadot, Björn Wagner, is the new number one of Parity Technologies.
