BARCELONA (Agefi-Dow Jones)–New car registrations in the European Union (EU) fell in May for the tenth consecutive month, according to data released Thursday by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). ).
EU new car registrations fell 11% year on year in May to 791,546 units, ACEA said. The main markets in the region (France, Germany, Spain, Italy) all recorded double-digit declines, the association said.
Over the first five months of the year, registrations of new vehicles fell by 14%, to 3.7 million units, as supply difficulties weighed on sales.
