A royal baby will soon point the tip of his nose! For several weeks, rumors agitated the British tabloids, convinced that Princess Eugenie was pregnant. And they weren’t wrong! This Tuesday, January 24, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter has announced she is expecting her second child with Jack Brooksbank. It was on Instagram that the mother-to-be revealed her already round belly, kissed by her son August. “We are thrilled to share that there will be a new member in our family this summer,” wrote the future parents, on a small cloud. Shortly after, Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news. “Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer, the palace said. The family is thrilled and August can’t wait to be a big brother.”
As a reminder, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank first met on a 2010 ski trip to Verbier, Switzerland. And immediately, the two experienced a real “love at first sight”, as Princess Beatrice’s sister confided later. After years of love, the businessman asked for the hand of the young woman in January 2018 while on vacation in Nicaragua. “The lake was so beautiful. The light was a special light that I had never seen. I actually said, ‘This is an amazing moment’ and then he asked for my hand, which was really surprising even though we had been together for seven years. I was in heaven”, remembered the young woman. The couple married on October 12, 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in a stunning ceremony in the presence of members of the Crown.
Eugenie: a mother fulfilled by her son
On February 9, 2021, Princess Eugenie gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named August. It took about ten days for the happy parents to present their newborn on Instagram. “We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, could we read in the caption of several photos of the family, taken by the midwife who supported the happy mother. Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words cannot express. We are delighted to be able to share these photos with you.” Since then, Princess Eugenie has been on cloud nine with her first child, of whom she shares many photos on social networks. In a few months, the young woman will again become the mother of a little boy or a little girl who will fill her family with love.
