Eureka J12 Ultra: a robot vacuum cleaner that takes care of washing

A few months after presenting the J20, Eureka returns to the market with the J12. With a more attractive price of €799 compared to €1399 for the J20, the J12 seems to position itself as an alternative to the very high end, without making concessions on its characteristics.

Vacuum cleaner and scrubber in one, the Eureka J12 has two side brushes and a large central roller to swallow dust. Its suction power reaches 5000 Pa and is thus close to the Dreame L10s Ultra.

On the washing side, the robot has two rotating mops to remove stains on the floor. It is the very complete charging station which has the task of humidifying and rinsing them. In fact, the J12 can now go back and forth to its base to clean its pads during washing, in order to avoid washing the floor with dirty water. The robot can therefore be programmed to return to its station every 12 m2, 10 m2 or 8 m2.

On the other hand, the J12 mops do not lift when approaching rugs or carpets. The user must choose the best mode according to their home configuration. The robot can vacuum and mop at the same time and save time in the absence of carpet. Otherwise, you must start a vacuum cycle, then a second wash cycle. Thanks to carpet detection, the J12 is able to avoid them and keep them dry.

Finally, the navigation system of the Eureka J12 has been improved. The robot retains the laser range finder, represented by the turret on the hood, which maps the J12’s environment. The obstacle recognition system is provided by artificial intelligence and lasers which detect objects in front of the robot, even in the dark.

To benefit from the performance of the Eureka J12, you must nevertheless wait until May 20, the day of its release.
