Euro-2024: audience success in Germany for the opening match with 22.5 million viewers

22.49 million viewers were in front of German public television ZDF to follow the opening match of Euro-2024 between Germany and Scotland on Friday evening. They witnessed the Mannschaft’s overwhelming victory (5-1) at the start of the tournament at home.

During the last Euro-2021, Germany’s four matches exceeded the 20 million viewer mark, with a peak at 27.36 million for the round of 16 lost against England.
