  • MagentaTV is launching a new channel with FUSSBALL.TV.
  • Various formats relating to the European Championship will be shown on FUSSBALL.TV 1.
  • The channel is included in all MagentaTV tariffs.

To get you in the right mood for the 2024 UEFA European Championship in your own country, MagentaTV is now offering you its own channel for this purpose. With FUSSBALL.TV 1, Telekom is launching the first of three channels specifically for the European Championship. There you can review the history of the tournament or follow current events surrounding the topic.

Historic games and great European Championship moments reissued

At the start of broadcasting on FUSSBALL.TV 1, you will be shown some of the German national team’s most important games at the European Championships. These include, for example, the final games from 1980 and 1996, both of which went down in history. These games are being reworked from today’s perspective with experts Béla Réthy and Wolff Fuss, among others. There will also be various highlights with the most beautiful goals, saves and penalties. This means that the format is not just for old hands, but also gives younger fans access to European football history.

The “Analysis Lab”

The “Analysis Lab” with TV presenter Jan Henkel and coach Manuel Baum is intended to give you an insight into what has changed, especially tactically, compared to previous football. In addition, various professional trainers are consulted on this topic. An analysis of the German group opponents Scotland, Switzerland and Hungary will also be carried out. The favorites of this tournament will also be presented in the course. There will be a total of six episodes of this format.

Documentary about the last European Championship

The 2020 European Championships, which did not take place until 2021 due to the corona pandemic, will also have a place in the program with its own documentation. Of course, this includes the early German exit as well as the exciting final between Italy and England, which was only decided on penalties. Occasionally, some games will also be offered to you in full length. There will also be various portraits, interviews and highlights with a view to the European Championships this year.

Award-winning documentaries and other formats

The program will be rounded off with absolute documentary classics about the Miracle in Bern or the Wembley goal in 1966. The return of the celebrated Toni Kroos will also be celebrated with our own films. There are also more originals and documentaries coming to prepare you for this year’s tournament. Among other things, there is a production called “More than talking” in which the presenter Verona Pooth asks ex-national player Lukas Podolski about this year’s tournament.

The 2024 European Championships on MagentaTV

This year, the provider MagentaTV is the only provider to show you all 51 games of the European Championship, including the games with German participation. The opening game between Germany and Scotland on June 14th as well as all other matches will be broadcast on the FUSSBALL.TV 1 to 3 channels. Various tactical formats and interviews will accompany the program. There will also be a conference on the simultaneous games on the third group match day.
