Ukraine got the better of Slovenia in an exhilarating match (2 – 1), Zbirna fought hard to win their first match of the competition. In the first twenty minutes, Slovakia opened the scoring, Ivan Schranz, already a scorer against Belgium, did it again with a header, served by Lukas Haraslin (17th). The Repre, too wait-and-see, were equalized shortly after half-time, by Mykola Shaparenko who scored his second goal for the selection, thanks to a low cross from Olexandr Zinchenko (54th). Roman Yaremchuk puts an end to the hopes of the Slovaks and deceives Martin Dubravka after a magnificent control on a beautiful pass from the first scorer (80th). The two nations tied with three points can still hope to qualify for the round of 16.
